Workshop Fusion de Lave

Volvic

Ceramics workshop specializing in utilitarian and decorative glazed pieces made from the lava of the Auvergne volcanoes.

Philippe le Bouteiller makes decorative and utilitarian stoneware ceramics, whose originality comes from the fact that they are coated with lava-based glazes. Lava is a mineral material which, when melted again at 1300°C, becomes a natural, balanced glaze, giving each piece a unique personality. Combined with lava, vegetable ash creates interesting material effects. All glazes produced here are lead-free, non-toxic and safe for contact with food.
