Nicknamed Sissi by my brother, I kept this nickname for my small business. I find this nickname cute and easy to say. It reminds me of my childhood, which is why I prefer to create items focused on children.
For several years, I have been creating wooden objects cut with a scroll saw and painted with acrylic paint.
I mainly make items for children, such as toys and practical decorations for their bedrooms.
The idea came about when my second son was born and my mother gave me a fretsaw, which I used to make coat racks for his bedroom and his brother’s. Then came a music box in the shape of a house, then an airplane, then fun games…
And why not bring joy to other children by introducing them to handmade games and toys?
Puzzles for all ages
Waterfall games
Wheeled toys
A nameplate to hang on the bedroom door
Some customers even asked me to design their own sign for their fish shop.
One person wanted personalized coat hooks (a unique item) to give as a gift for the birth of their nephew.
Then came the era of stuffed animals, thanks to my children who gave me my first book on Amigurumi (the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting animals and anthropomorphic creatures) six years ago. I made the first ones to give to my loved ones. Seeing their eyes light up with happiness, I decided to make more to sell and give to children.
I have been creating wooden objects for children and adults for a year now, using a laser machine that cuts and engraves wood.
Each piece is unique in both its manufacture and spirit, as these objects will live exciting stories in various homes.
As I cannot attend all the markets, because many items have been made, I have created an online store to allow people who live far away to buy a unique object to give as a gift or to treat themselves.
