This tour takes you to La Comté, volcanic hills with villages and fortresses between the plain and the Livradois mountains.
Leaving Longues, home of the Banque de France paper mill, you follow the Allier to La Roche-Noire.
Climbing up to the feudal castle of Busséol, you’ll come to a volcanic peak with an exceptional view of the Livradois mountains.

Étape 1 : Leaving Longues, home of the Banque de France paper mill, you follow the Allier to La Roche-Noire.
Étape 2 : Climbing up to the feudal castle of Busséol, you’ll come to a volcanic peak with an exceptional view of the Livradois mountains.
Étape 3 : You’ll pass the foot of Notre-Dame de Roche on your way to Saint-Julien-de-Coppel, from where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view.
Étape 4 : On the way to Sallèdes, you’ll pass through the Comté woods, before reaching Saint-Babel.
Étape 5 : Then climb up to the ruins of the Buron citadel, before crossing the Allier and passing near Montpeyroux, dominated by its keep and listed as one of France’s most beautiful villages.
Étape 6 : Return to Longues along the banks of the Allier.
