Departing from Vollore-Montagne, this 24 km, 710 m ascent route takes you deep into the mountains, with a not-to-be-missed stopover at Notre-Dame de l’Hermitage.
The first half of the circuit is marked by a steady ascent to an altitude of 1,200 m, passing through typical Forez landscapes. At the summit of the route is Notre-Dame de l’Hermitage, now a place of pilgrimage, offering a peaceful setting and a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains.
After this stopover, the tour begins a long descent, alternating between wooded passages and more open sections, before reaching Vollore-Ville.
