Route description

Departure point : Tourist Office -From Riom, follow signs for Châtel-Guyon on the D227. Enter town via Avenue de l’Europe. Turn right after the old railway station (La Mouniaude).

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

Step 1 : Departure point : Châtel-Guyon Tourist Office. Head towards downtown on the main avenue. Pass the roundabout, still following the direction of the town center. Continue up Avenue des Etats-Unis
for approximately 500m.

Step 2 : Turn right onto rue du Docteur Levadoux towards Hôtel de Ville. Opposite La Poste, take the one-way street (rue Michel Levadoux Braga). Then turn right into rue Lacroix. Turn right onto rue du Château.

Step 3 : At the crossroads with Place du Marché, turn left into Rue de l’Église. Drive around the church to the right, then down rue des Remparts. Cross Avenue du Général De Gaulle and continue straight ahead. At the crossroads, take the old road and cross the new road at the crosswalk. Go up Chemin de Porte-Bouche. At the T, turn right onto the Chemin panoramique de la Naute as far as the parking lot.

Step 4 : Turn left at an acute angle onto chemin du Tour du Char and continue along chemin des Bouleaux. At the Y, leave the left-hand path, continue for 100m and turn left into chemin Haut des Percières. Turn left down the stairs, then right onto the path which joins the road and crosses it.

Next step

Step 5 : Turn right onto chemin de Cretas and follow it to the street. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead on Rue d’Angleterre
for 50m and turn right into the spa park. Pass the Theater, Casino and Anciens Thermes and continue straight ahead along the wood to the path. Take the chemin du Veix to the crossroads with the route de Riom. Turn left to reach the tourist office.
