You’ll follow in the footsteps of the miners as you pass through Auzat-la-Combelle, a former mining town where the buildings bear witness to the past.

You’ll also enjoy one of the region’s finest panoramic views of the Monts Dore, Cézallier, Cantalien volcano, Livradois and Chaîne des Puys at Nonette, Petite cité de caractère®. In days gone by, a castle stood on top of the volcanic neck that dominates the village. In addition to the landscape, the half-Romanesque, half-Gothic church of Saint-Nicolas bears witness to a remarkable cultural and artistic past.

This past is highlighted in Parentignat, where the Petit Versailles Auvergnat stands out in the town center, and houses one of the most important private collections of paintings by 17th and 18th century masters.

The Vernet-la-Varenne lake is also an ideal place to relax.
