Step 1 : From the church (PP1 : 12th-century church and Madonna in Majesty), turn left down the hill and immediately right into the street between the stone cross and the wash-house. Go around a house and turn left on a downhill path to a road. Go right for 300 m, then left towards Heume-le-Franc. As you climb the hill, turn left onto a track. Leave two tracks on the left and take the first on the right. Continue until you reach the road.

Step 2 : Follow it to the right and turn left after the first farm. Go straight across the crossroads at the end of the village to a T-junction and turn right. At the next T-junction, at the entrance to the hamlet of Les Chabannes, turn left. Turn right at the fork. Continue along the main path (PV1 : view of Banne d’Ordanche and Massif des Dores), leaving the left-hand path behind. Descend to the road.

Step 3 : At the large triangular crossroads, turn left, cross the main road, go down the small road facing the puy de Dôme for 50 m and turn right onto a track (PV2 : panorama : puy de Dôme, Sancy, Banne d’Ordanche). At Heume-l’Eglise (PP2 : oven on the right), turn left after the first house, then right at the church to reach the starting point.
