Step 1 : From the church, take the street down to the last houses. Go straight on, and the street becomes a footpath. Turn left at the water treatment plant and join the D251. Cross it and go down the stairs. Continue on the steep track, bending left for 200 m. Cross the D251 again, to take the steeply sloping road opposite, which descends D to the Moulin d’Issartier. Cross the bridge and follow the main road up to the D205. Cross it and take the small road opposite to the village of Issartier.

Step 2 : Cross the village, and before the last houses in the village, turn right onto the track. Continue along this main road to Plagne. Cross the village and, at the wash-house, take the road on the left.

Step 3 : At the crossroads, go straight on, ignoring the track on the right and still uphill, turn right and ignore the 2 tracks on the left. Still on the wide track, ignore the 1st path on the left, then the 2nd on the right and finally the third on the left. Then bear right, leaving the wide track to go back down to Chassagnolles. Turn left, go through the village, and in the village center, turn right to join the D205.

Step 4 : Cross it and take the road opposite, then immediately right onto the track. At another track, continue straight ahead until you reach Chaillargues. At the road, turn right, then left at the second road. At the next junction, turn right, then at the fork, continue straight ahead on a track leading down to the Cros et Baffie stream, next to the Planches mill.
