Route description

On the edge of the Creuse département, you can take a leisurely stroll through a wild environment of pastures and forests before finally discovering the pleasant 22-hectare Etang Neuf.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

Step 1 : Du panneau de départ, longer l’étang par la gauche. Poursuivre sur la route jusqu’au hameau de Corrioux-Hauts. A la fourche (croix) aller à droite sur la route qui se prolonge par un large chemin. Continuer, en ignorant les chemins à gauche, jusqu’au premier chemin à droite. L’emprunter pour faire un aller-retour (10 mn) jusqu’à un ponton au bord de l’étang (vue sur l’étang). Revenir sur le chemin principal. Prendre à droite, laisser un premier chemin à droite. Continuer jusqu’à un deuxième chemin à droite.

Step 2 : Le suivre, franchir une anse de l’étang sur un ponton et cheminer dans un bois. Au croisement en T, partir à droite jusqu’au croisement suivant avec un chemin à gauche.

Step 3 : L’emprunter, laisser deux sentes sur la gauche puis passer sur un ponton. A l’intersection, continuer à droite et rejoindre le point de départ.

For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, certain itineraries are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.
