Route description

A walk from Fayet-Ronaye (Romanesque church rebuilt in the 14th century) on steep, wooded slopes with views over the surrounding hills and forests. At Ronaye is a beautiful granite cross dating from the late 14th century.

Step 1 : Descendre la route puis tourner à gauche derrière l’église en direction de la Marconnerie ; franchir un petit ruisseau et prendre à droite pour rejoindre un chemin en herbe. À une éclaircie, tourner à gauche ; 300m après, encore à gauche et suivre le chemin jusqu’à un autre chemin en basalte, le prendre à droite en descendant et passer sous la grande ferme.

Step 2 : Prendre la premier chemin à gauche en passant devant une maison ; à la patte d’oie, tourner à droite jusqu’au ruisseau du Doulon. Le traverser pour remonter par un chemin en pierre jusqu’à « la Baffie ». Prendre la route goudronnée sur la droite jusqu’à la D56. La traverser et prendre un petit chemin montant en face dans les feuillus. À la sortie, prendre à droite sur 800m.

Step 3 : Tourner à droite sur un chemin descendant au ruisseau de Ronaye. Remonter à Ronaye, contourner la chapelle, virer à droite pour prendre à la sortie du hameau un chemin à gauche allant à la D56. Le suivre à gauche. Tourner à droite juste après le pont. Ensuite tourner à gauche, puis presque tout de suite à droite sur un sentier pentu et étroit qui longe le cimetière pour rejoindre le point de départ.

Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.

Access

From the village of Saint Germain l’Herm, take the D56 towards Fayet Ronaye. The start is opposite the Fayet Ronaye town hall.
