Route description

If the summer’s too hot, follow Tino : he knows a refreshing walk. You can walk down under the trees to the Chalamont stream, then along it to a graceful waterfall. And long live the freshness ! After that, all you have to do is climb back up…

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

Step 1 : Du panneau de départ, s’engager dans la direction « Les Granges, Puy Loudinet » (panneau indiquant la cascade) jusqu’à une fourche.

Step 2 : Prendre à gauche. Dépasser l’aire de pique-nique et descendre le chemin qui serpente dans une forêt de résineux jusqu’au quatrième virage.

Step 3 : S’engager en face dans le sentier pentu qui rejoint le ruisseau de l’Auzelle. Remonter le cours du ruisseau, le traverser à trois reprises par les passerelles aménagées pour aller jusqu’à la cascade.

Step 4 : Revenir sur ses pas en franchissant de nouveau les trois passerelles. Cinquante mètres après la troisième passerelle, prendre à gauche à la fourche, de façon à rester au niveau du ruisseau, jusqu’à une autre passerelle, que l’on n’emprunte pas [attention : autre PR jaune]. Monter à droite pour rejoindre le point caractéristique 2 et regagner le point de départ par le chemin pris à l’aller.

To St-Priest-des-Champs, 51 km north-west of Clermont-Ferrand. Parking on the church square. With your back to the church, head for the stop sign and find the start sign opposite, on the other side of the D987.
