Route description

This equestrian route invites riders to explore the picturesque landscapes of the Combrailles region of the Auvergne. The third stage from Miremont takes in Andrivet, the Fades-Besserve lake and the Gour Saillant waterfall.

Step 3 – Miremont > Sauret-Besserve

Étape 1 : ?? After crossing the Chevalet bridge, turn left and cross Miremont on the D121.
Depending on the time of year, you can visit the Ecomuseum opposite the town hall.
On leaving Miremont, you will see Miremont Castle on your left; go up the crossroads on your right, then at the top, take the path on the right to climb up to Combe de Noux. Follow the path on the left overlooking Roche Civière and Sioulet.

Étape 2 : ?? At Bordessoule, turn right onto the D19, then right onto Chemin des Plaines to enjoy the view from the Andrivet viewpoint. Continue straight on after the viewpoint to descend towards Confolant via the Chemin d’Andrivet. Cross Confolant and continue straight on along the Chemin de la Forêt. Walk along the Sioulet, then climb up Rue de la Plage to Pont du Bouchet.

Étape 3 : ?? Cross the D19 and go up Rue du Bois de Tour. Follow the main road and turn right at the first road to reach Lasciouve. Continue straight ahead, then take the first road on the right. At the intersection, continue straight ahead to join the D110.

Étape 4 : ?? Drive down the D110, then take the first road on the left. At Carton, turn left and then right onto La Mazière. Take the second right onto Route de Lacost. Take the second road on the right, then turn left onto Route de Retaillat. In Lacost, turn left onto the street, then right. Leave Lacost and take the first road on the right. Continue straight on until you reach Route de la Buchaille.

Étape 5 : ?? After crossing Le Coli stream, take the second road on the right. You will see two ponds on your left. At the intersection, turn left and cross La Barge (straight ahead). After the water treatment plant, turn right onto the D987, then take the first road on the left. Cross Saint-Priest-Des-Champs via Rue de la Mairie, then turn right and continue straight ahead to join Route de la Cascade. Turn left onto Chemin du Lavoir. Descend to Le Chalamont, then continue straight ahead to La Siouve.
Turn left onto Route du Viaduc des Fades. The gîte is located at number 1761 on this road.
