A walk overlooking the Limagne fault through orchards and vineyards facing east. Old chestnut trees greet us on the Bonnabry plateau in Sarcenat, home of Teilhard de Chardin, then the pine forests of Côte de Pégnu.
– View of Limagne, Bois Noirs and Forez.
Étape 1 : Opposite the start sign, descend to reach a road. Follow it for 100 m until you reach a tarmac track on the right.
Étape 2 : Take this road. At the fork in the road, turn left into the forest until you reach an intersection.
Étape 3 : Turn left, walk to a small stream, cross it and climb for 20m. Turn left and follow a field to an intersection.
Étape 4 : Turn right and stay on the main path, ignoring the side paths. Continue along the forest edge. At the intersection with a hamlet, continue on the right-hand track until you reach a T-junction.
Étape 5 : Go right downhill. At the intersection (view of the Livradois-Forez mountains and Limagne), continue straight ahead. Leave a track on the right and continue to the entrance to the hamlet of Sarcenat (Fontaine du Merle on the left, Château de Teilhard de Chardin on the right, then a cross carved in 1816 on the left). Twenty metres further on, ignore the Chemin des Châtaigniers on the left, and continue straight on into the village. Pass the fountain (1876), and at the crossroads turn right. Leave the Chemin des Gravets and head downhill. At the stop sign, take the road to the right for 50 m to the first track on the left.
Étape 6 : Take this and walk alongside the farm. On the way down, ignore all the right-hand paths and return to the start.
From 01/01 to 31/12.
