– View of the Chaîne des Puys and the Sancy massif
– Discovery of a dolmen
Step 1 : Start from the church. Go up the main road, then, at the wash-house, take the path on the right. Continue as far as La Chaunias. Turn left after the houses. At the crossroads, follow the road opposite to La Chaumette (view of the Chaîne des Puys and the Sancy massif). In the village, continue on the same road (view of Pierre-sur-Haute) and follow it to the Hollade cross.
Step 2 : Take the path that climbs to the right. At the crow’s-foot, continue on this path. Pass the iron cross and, after 100 m, turn left. After 500 m, fork right. After 250 m, turn left. In the clearing, follow the track to the left. At the road, turn right for 80 m, then take the first path on the left. Follow it through the woods and rejoin the road.
Step 3 : Cross the road and go straight ahead. Follow the gravel path. At the crossroads, take the left-hand path and rejoin the road (view of the Chaîne des Puys and the Sancy massif). Take the small road that descends opposite and follow it to the hamlet of La Guérilie.
Step 4 : In the village, turn left at the cross and continue straight ahead. At the crossroads, turn left and follow the same path up to the D102. Take the road opposite and, 20 m further on, at the crow’s-foot, turn slightly left. Rejoin the D102. Follow it straight ahead, skirting the cemetery and returning to the starting point.
