Route description

A family walk in the forest from Auzelles, accessible by baby carriage, with interpretation panels to help the young (and not so young) recognize the tree species and plants on this circuit.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

Step 1 : À l’entrée de la piste forestière, s’engager sur le large chemin de terre qui pénètre dans le bois. Franchir le ruisseau qui passe sous le chemin et continuer jusqu’à la place de dépôt de bois.

Step 2 : Continuer de suivre la voirie sur la gauche.

Step 3 : Après la description des fers d’eau, prendre au croisement à gauche un sentier étroit en sous-bois. Passer le long d’une zone humide et retrouver la route goudronnée. La suivre à gauche pour retrouver le départ.

Additional information

For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, certain itineraries are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.

Access

From the village of Cunlhat, take the D 225 towards Issoire. At the village of Alleyras, take the D 996 towards Auzelles. In the village of Auzelles, take the D 263 towards Condat-les-Montboissier. After 1 km, take the road on the left towards the village of Cavet.
