Guidebook with maps/step-by-step :

Étape 1 : From the start sign in the parking lot, take the route shared by both circuits: rue du Guichet on the left, then the staircase opposite. From the church, walk up to Place de la Molle. Take rue de la Grande Charreyre, to the left of the clock tower (town weight at base, bell tower at top). Cross Place Jean Domat and continue on Rue de la Conche. At the fork in the road, turn right into rue de Chalendrat, then right again into rue de la Thioule as far as the junction with rue de Laurassou.

Étape 2 : Head towards Busséol. After a pond (view of the Sancy), at the crossroads where the two circuits separate, go right up into the woods. Ignore the paths on the right to reach the plateau. Pass a chicane and immediately turn right onto a grassy path. Follow it for 50m, then turn left onto a track opposite Saint Romain. Ignore the track on the left to reach a wide path. Turn right and climb to the summit (panoramic view). Climb back down and, halfway down the slope, turn left onto a path that leads off the plateau into the forest.

Étape 3 : Begin the descent to the right via a stony, muddy passage. At the fork, turn right onto a path. Cross a chicane, then a log staircase and continue to the end of the wood (panoramic view over the Allier valley, the Puys range and the Sancy massif).

Étape 4 : Continue downhill along the fence. Pass a third chicane to enter the wood. Descend to the village. Turn right on rue de la Quéré, right again on rue de Vignoux (orientation table) and right again on rue des Aires. From Place Jean Domat, take Rue de la Grande Charreyre, Place de la Molle and Rue du Guichet back to the starting point.
