Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

Step 1 : From the start sign at place du 110/mars-1962, take the dead-end road. In Le Montel, turn right at the large wooden cross. At the fork, go left, then follow the track to the right. At the crossroads, go straight ahead and, at the fork, keep right until you reach a crossroads.

Step 2 : Turn left onto a wide gravel path. On the descent, at the end of a right-hand bend, turn left and, at the fork, take the right-hand path. At the T-junction at the bottom of the descent through the Varazenne forest, turn left to reach the D612.

Step 3 : Turn right. At the lake, take the path furthest to the right for a few metres, then fork left onto the path that runs along the shore. At the beach (Bort-les-Orgues dam reservoir), climb up to the road. At the bend in the road, turn right onto the path through the undergrowth. At the intersection, turn right (la vierge de Labessette). At the T-junction, turn left and continue to the road.

Step 4 : Take the track to the right of the D612. Follow it for about 1 km, ignoring the adjacent tracks and coming back to the road. Turn right, enter Labessette, cross Le Montel and return to the starting point (Romanesque church, combed bell tower).
