Step 1 : From the signpost at the entrance to the village, opposite the cheese dairy, pass under the road bridge. Go left, then immediately right, and 50 m further on, take the left-hand path to a fork in the road.

Step 2 : Turn right. At the T-junction, turn left. Ignore the side paths. At the fork, stay left and at the T-junction, go right. At the fork (off PR, mineral spring 200 m away), turn right and cross the stream. Follow the road up to the first bend. Continue uphill along the path on the right, joining a wide track. Go straight on, ignoring the side paths, until you reach a T-junction. Turn left towards Olmont. At the road, turn left through the hamlet. After the last house, continue straight ahead on a wide track until you reach an intersection.

Step 3 : Turn right and continue straight ahead. At Neuville, turn left down the wide track to the mill. Cross the stream and turn left up onto the plateau (view of the Chaîne des Puys and the Sancy massif). In Aurières, turn left around the church, then down towards the cemetery. Follow the cemetery to the right. At the first fork in the road, turn left onto a grassy path. At the intersection, turn right and continue straight ahead until you reach a signpost (altitude 975 m).

Step 4 : Turn left to reach the road. Follow it to the right. Pass under the road bridge and turn right. At the crossroads, turn left, then go straight on. As you enter the forest, go straight up. Turn right at the fork, then left at the crossroads. At the end of the wood, keep right. At the crossroads (with views of the Lassolas, Pourcharet and Mercoeur puys), go left as far as a fork.
