Guidebook with maps/step-by-step :

Étape 1 : From the start sign, go down avenue Jean Noëllet, turn left into rue du Dr Casati, then right into rue Fernand Forest. At the crossroads, turn right into rue Saint-Loup. Turn right around the town hall to reach the church.

Étape 2 : Go around it to the right (trompe-l’œil wall). At the crossroads, turn right, then cross Rue des Ramacles, past the restaurant “La Potinière”. Turn right into rue de Romagnat, then left into rue de la Gaieté (old houses typical of winegrowers’ homes). At the T-junction, turn left, then immediately right (old cellars with fireplaces) and continue towards “Les Sarments” residence. Continue uphill on a gravel path (view of the Clermont-Ferrand conurbation and the Chaîne des Puys) to a T-junction (reservoir).

Étape 3 : Go left for 50 m and turn right across the esplanade, then continue on the wildlife discovery trail. At the road, Chemin des Gravins, go left for 50 m, then fork right and follow the path, always keeping to the left (view of the Forez and Livradois mountains and the Sarliève plain). At the intersection with a wide track, turn left and immediately right onto the path that joins a housing estate. Turn left onto chemin des Plantades; at the road, rue des Gravins, go left for 30 m and turn right onto chemin fontaine Saint-Martin as far as an intersection.

Étape 4 : Go up to the left (Fontaine Saint Martin), ignoring the path on the right; at the T-junction, go right, then straight on, leaving the cross in your left hand; go down rue de Pérignat, cross rue du Chambon, then rue des Moulins, to continue straight on rue de la République and rue Saint Antoine as far as the stone cross dedicated to Saint Antoine. Turn right (rue du 4-Septembre), cross the main street and go straight up rue Pasteur. At the traffic lights, turn left into rue du Dr Casati as far as avenue Jean Noëllet, then right again to reach the starting point.
