A walk in a rural setting with views over the Limagne plain.
– View of the villages of Teilhède and Prompsat.
– Panoramic view of the Limagne plain.
– Small heritage features (cross, fountain).
– A fordable stream.
Étape 1 : From the start sign (between the cemetery and the church), walk past the church and down rue du Roy Louis. Opposite a cross, turn right, go down the chemin de la Garde and continue as far as the stream.
Étape 2 : Cross the bridge and turn left. Continue along this track as far as a T-junction. Turn left, and at the next crossroads, go straight ahead. Turn right into rue du Treix. At the end of the road, turn left and immediately right at the fountain into rue de Châtel. Go up rue des Aigaux and continue along the path. At the crossroads of 4 tracks (view of the villages of Teilhède and Prompsat, the Limagne plain) go straight on. Reach a T-junction on the plateau. Turn left and continue until you reach a fork in the road at the entrance to the wood.
Étape 3 : Continue along the track and go straight ahead at the next crossroads. Stay on the main path until you come to a crow’s-foot at the end of the wood. Go down the middle path and keep to the right until you reach a crossroads below the hamlet of Le Bouquet.
Étape 4 : Go straight ahead. Under the hamlet of Les Briffons, leave the track and turn right. Go down into the woods on a stony track before fording the stream. At the next crossroads, keep right until you come to a junction of 4 paths after a hunters’ hut. Leave the wide track to go down a tree-lined path to the right. At the next crossroads, at the first houses, cross the small tarmac road and follow the path opposite, then turn left between the houses to reach the road. Follow the road to the right for 30 m, then turn right towards the cross. After 100 m, go down a track on the left and continue until you reach the road on the left. Turn right before the cemetery to get back to the starting point.
