Located in Auvergne, in the Puy de Dôme region, more precisely in the commune of Doranges, Les Chevaux de Capucine is close to La Chaise Dieu (15km), Ambert (35km), Brioude (40km) and Le Puy en Velay (60km).
Right in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park, the mountain scenery (1000m altitude), the smell of fir trees and the unusual sightings of wild animals are all there for the taking.
It’s in this setting that the horses, specialists in emotions, will make you feel so much. Through paths and tracks, at a walk, trot or gallop, let yourself be carried away by equine magic ! You’ll discover the authenticity of horses, who live in herds all year round. Their basic needs (food, water, social contact, motor skills, etc.) are met, and they know how to share their generosity with humans, as well as their know-how. Les Chevaux de Capucine welcomes you to share unforgettable moments, surrounded and guided by horses.

I’ve had a passion for horses since childhood and have been riding for many years, so my equine knowledge is growing by the day !
My first, Didi, led me to meet the right people at the right time, as well as the right horses 😉
It’s partly thanks to him that Les Chevaux de Capucine came into being !
Les Chevaux de Capucine is first and foremost a place for meeting and sharing, where you can go for a ride on the back of a horse, or walk alongside one – anything’s possible !
Strolls of one hour, two hours, half a day, a whole day, and for the more experienced (and courageous !) rides of several days are available at Les Chevaux de Capucine.
My horses are all worked and trained by me, and I’m particularly fond of this part of my work. That’s why I also offer breaking-in, training of young horses and reeducation of “complicated” horses.
I can also offer you work sessions with you and your horse, and guide you to improve your relationship, connection and communication, and establish or re-establish a bond with him.
More confidence on foot means more confidence on horseback, but also more fun and enjoyment !
