Route description
Lempdes-sur-Allagnon is interesting for its listed hall dating from 1835, crowned with a framework valued as an architectural masterpiece. We cross puys, volcanic plateaus… Many views over the Livradois, the peaks of Nonette and Usson.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
Step 1 : Du panneau de départ, franchir le pont sur le Béal, traverser le jardin public à gauche, monter les escaliers et prendre la passerelle sur l’Allagnon. Passer entre le terrain de tennis et la salle des fêtes ; à la route, bifurquer à gauche et longer le camping. Aux trois fourches successives, prendre à droite pour rejoindre la D654.
Step 2 : Emprunter le chemin en face ; à la fourche, rester à gauche ainsi qu’à la suivante. Avant la route, monter à droite en direction du château d’eau. À l’intersection, virer à droite sur le chemin montant qui contourne le puy Ferrat. Au sommet de la côte, continuer à droite (vue sur la tour de Montcelet). Aller tout droit dans Scoularoux puis, au four à pain, se diriger à droite. Ignorer le chemin à gauche et poursuivre (vue sur la butte de Nonette, les monts du Livradois) jusqu’au réservoir.
Step 3 : S’engager sur le chemin de droite et continuer tout droit jusqu’à Moriat. À la croix en pierre, longer à gauche le mur d’enceinte du château. Après une fontaine, rester à droite (entrée du château) ; au carrefour suivant (autre fontaine), emprunter en face la rue de la Vizade. À la sortie du village (croix), poursuivre tout droit jusqu’à une courbe à gauche. Traverser le ru, continuer en face jusqu’à la D654.
Step 4 : Poursuivre en face par la rue Filiol qui va au camping, tourner à gauche pour retrouver le chemin emprunté à l’aller ; après la passerelle, se diriger à droite. Suivre le sentier qui longe le mur, passer le pont près du lavoir. Virer de suite à gauche sur le sentier longeant le Béal pour rejoindre le point de départ (à
100 m en centre bourg, église et halle classées).

Additional information
For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, certain itineraries are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.

Access
From the A75, exit 19 to Lempdes-sur-Allagnon (Haute-Loire). Park at Place du Bosquet, by the roadside, 200 m after the entrance sign.
