Guidebook with maps/step-by-step :

Étape 1 : From the start sign, take the Amédée Chapelle lane; after 50 m, turn left into the Rue des Ânes, which soon becomes a footpath. Go through a metal barrier (chicane) and follow the Sioulet for around 2.5 km. At the junction with a wide track, turn left down to a footbridge over the Sioulet (Pellefort bridge).

Étape 2 : Cross the bridge and continue on the track opposite, which twists and turns into a small road. At the last house in the hamlet of Pellefort, turn left and climb up the plateau to a T-junction.

Étape 3 : Take the road on the left. At the crossroads in the village of Les Bouchons, turn right; 100 m further on, turn left and at the last house in the village, take the track on the right. Follow this for about 1 km and descend into the Sioulet valley. At the first house, take the small road on the right to join the D987 at the entrance to Pontaumur.
