Étape 1 : Turn right and follow the track to a road
(view of the Servant bell tower and the Chaîne des Puys).
Go straight ahead on a track and then on a grassy lane. At the road, turn left and take the first track rising to the right at the entrance to the hamlet of Montignat.

Étape 2 : Take this and continue straight ahead on a gravel path. At the edge of a wood, fork left to enter the forest.
Stay on this track, leaving the side paths.
At the road, go left for 50m and turn right along a faint path through the wood.
Join a track and turn left until you reach a road.

Étape 3 : Continue straight ahead, ignoring the side paths, until you come out of the wood (view of the Chaîne des Puys).
Go through the hamlet of Chaillat and turn right at the exit. At the crossroads, go left and at the entrance to Les Chaumes turn right onto the track.
Follow this to the entrance to the hamlet of Georges.

Étape 4 : Take the small road on the left as far as the junction with the D18. Turn left and take the first road on the right, then follow the signs for the lake. At the bottom of the descent, turn left to join the path around the lake to the left. At the end of the dyke, turn right onto a wide track and take the first path on the left. At the D507, turn right and then left towards the church to get back to the starting point.
