Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

Step 1 : From the signpost near the war memorial, head towards the stadium, walk along it and turn right. Take the first street on the left and go straight ahead on a track. At the crossroads in the woods, go straight down. At the fork in the road, go left until you reach a T-junction.

Step 2 : Continue downhill to the right, cross the stream (Le Bort) and go uphill. At the road, turn right onto the path leading back down into the valley. Cross the stream again and climb to the edge of the plateau. Turn left at the edge of the fir forest and, at the road, go straight ahead through the hamlet of Chamoissoux. Follow the road for 500 m, then take a right-hand path to the junction of the D509 and D122.

Step 3 : Take the road on the left (view of the Puy de Dôme and the Puys chain). After 300 m, fork right onto a path through a meadow, enter the woods and cross the stream. At the T-junction, turn right down towards the Bouchat pond, skirting it on the left and then going straight up. At the end of the wood, continue straight ahead on the road. At the stop sign, go straight ahead and, at the next crossroads, turn right to get back to the starting point.
