A pleasant walk in the heart of the Combrailles region, with its hedged farmland and wild forests. You’ll pass alongside the lively Tyx stream.
Ruisseau du Tyx.
Étape 1 : From the start sign, walk past the town hall. Turn left at the fork, join the road and follow it to the Vernine junction. Turn right, pass the farm and enter the woods. Go straight on, ignoring the paths on the right and left. At the fork, turn right and walk down to a wide track (signposted).
Étape 2 : Turn left along the Tyx. At the top of a small hill, leave a track on your left and continue straight ahead. Pass Le Mas and continue as far as the entrance to Meneix.
Étape 3 : Turn right onto a tarmac track. At the fork after the farm, go down to the right, cross the bridge over the Tyx, and go up the other side to a fork in the wood.
Étape 4 : Turn left, and continue straight on out of the wood until you come to a cross-country track.
Étape 5 : Take this to the right. At a crossroads, continue straight ahead along a softwood plantation until you reach a T-junction (on the outskirts of Chervalanges).
Étape 6 : Turn right, then left after 20 m. Go downhill along the Tyx and cross it. Go up along a wood on your left. Join a wide track, follow it to the left to return to Condat.
