An easy educational loop through beech forests, coniferous woods, moors and pastures. Twelve reading tables guide you and reveal the secrets of the deer’s life through the months of the year.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
Step 1 : Go up to the right of the small parking lot. After a few metres, turn left at the first intersection. Follow this track to the crossroads. Take the path that rises to the right. Continue straight ahead until you reach a large clearing. Cross it to the left to join a forest road, which you take to the left. Follow this good road to a wood storage area.
Step 2 : Take the first path to the right. At the fork, turn right again. Continue straight ahead through the Chétioux woods to reach the clearing you crossed on the outward journey.
Step 3 : Turn left at the second intersection, then right onto a narrow path in the Bois du Clovis. Go straight on until you reach an intersection, then turn right. Continue on this wide downhill track, then turn right on a small path before a bend to the left. At the intersection, go straight ahead to find the parking lot.

Additional information
For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, certain itineraries are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.

Access
From the village of Saint-Anthème, take the D996 towards Ambert. At Col des Pradeaux, turn left towards Chougoirand. Go through the village and take the D67 left towards Saint-Romain. After 1km, park in a reinforcement on the road.
