Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

Step 1 : Monter à droite du petit parking. Après quelques mètres, prendre à gauche à la première intersection. Poursuivre sur ce chemin jusqu’au croisement. Emprunter le chemin qui monte à droite. Poursuivre tout droit jusqu’à la large clairière. Traverser la par la gauche pour rejoindre une route forestière que l’on emprunte à gauche. Poursuivre sur ce bon chemin jusqu’à une place de dépôt de bois.

Step 2 : Emprunter alors le premier sentier partant sur la droite. À la fourche, prendre de nouveau à droite. Poursuivre toujours tout droit dans le bois Chétioux pour déboucher sur la clairière que l’on a traversé à l’aller.

Step 3 : Partir sur la gauche à la seconde intersection, puis tourner à droite sur un petit sentier dans le bois du Clovis. Continuer tout droit jusqu’à une intersection et tourner à droite. Poursuivre sur cette large piste descendante, puis tourner sur un petit sentier à droite avant une courbe à gauche. À l’intersection, partir en face pour retrouver le parking.

Additional information

For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, certain itineraries are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.

Access

From the village of Saint-Anthème, take the D996 towards Ambert. At Col des Pradeaux, turn left towards Chougoirand. Go through the village and take the D67 left towards Saint-Romain. After 1km, park in a reinforcement on the road.
