– View of the Puy de Dôme, the Sancy and the Combrailles.
Étape 1 : From the signpost, head towards the village, then take the 2nd turning on the left, signposted Grelières. At the crossroads, go straight ahead; at the fork, turn right and stay on the track. At the crossroads, go straight down to the entrance to the hamlet of La Feuillade and turn left. At the crossroads near the house, go straight ahead and at the next crossroads take the 2nd turning on the left as far as the hamlet of Pourtières.
Étape 2 : Continue straight ahead and at the crossroads turn right. Keep left at the fork. In the woods, keep to the main downhill path and continue downhill to the right. At the fork, ignore the Roche Bleue waterfall path. Cross the stream by the footbridge. Climb up to the viewpoint on your left (Viouze valley).
Étape 3 : Continue straight on uphill. At the T-junction, turn left and continue downhill, keeping to the left. At the fork, turn right and, when you see the stream, turn left. Be careful: as you go downhill, leave the main path and take a small path that bends sharply to the right as far as the Chagot stream.
Étape 4 : Ford the river and climb up. At the fork, keep to the right and continue until you reach an intersection near a small clearing on the left. At the end of the clearing, turn left (5 mins) onto a promontory (view of the viaduct and the Fades dam). Make a hairpin turn onto the path rising to the right. At the end of the wood, turn right and back for 150m (view of the viaduct and Fades dam). Continue uphill. On the plateau, ignore a track on the left and come to a T-junction. Take the road to the left. At the next crossroads, continue right into the hamlet (Queillette) until you reach the crossroads by the last house.
Étape 5 : Take the track on the right and turn left at the first crossroads. At the next crossroads, continue straight ahead until you come to a junction after the tin shed. Turn right and keep right until you reach a stream. Cross it and follow it to the right. At the junction, leave the stream and go left up to the road. Turn right and go as far as the cross (vue sur le Puy de Dôme, le Sancy et les Combrailles).
Étape 6 : Take the track on the left. Turn left at the fork, then left again on a stony track. Cross the stream and turn right. After the houses, leave the road and take the track opposite. At the crossroads, go straight ahead and then take the road on the left. At the crossroads, keep left and after 100 m fork right. Follow the track to the left towards the conifer hedge. At the crossroads near the houses, turn left onto the road and then right onto the D19 as far as the start sign.
