This gite is a renovated former cowshed awarded the “Ecogite” label by Gites de France (3 épis), at an altitude of 800 m, surrounded by forests and meadows for peaceful, open-air vacations in a protected environment.

This ecological, independent 160 m² house, designed for a maximum of 7 people (including babies), benefits from all modern comforts, with the aim of reducing our ecological footprint as much as possible : hemp-lime insulation, thermal solar panels, photovoltaic panels…

On the ground floor, a well-equipped kitchen opens onto a vast living room with central fireplace, lit by huge bay windows giving access to a large terrace/garden with exceptional views over the valley, WC and storeroom.
Upstairs, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one with bath and the other with Italian shower and toilet. Roller shutters.
Private parking nearby for 3 vehicles.

Departures from hiking trails at the foot of the gite, just a few minutes from some of Auvergne’s most beautiful tourist spots : Saint-Nectaire, Murol, Besse, La Bourboule, Le Mont Dore, cross-country ski trails, downhill ski trails at Super Besse… and swimming in Lac Chambon (Pavillon Bleu), or in the small rivers or “couzes” nearby, not forgetting mushroom picking and farm visits to see how our famous Saint-Nectaire cheese is made and taste !
