You’ll be enchanted by the warm, cosy atmosphere of this stone cottage. Everything here has been designed for your comfort, from the quality of the wood and stone materials to the furnishings and fittings, not forgetting the pellet stove for diffused heat. Highlight : access to the owners’ pond just above. You’ll enjoy an area with a lounge, barbecue and garden furniture.
The gîte adjoins the owners’ house at the rear (no facing building). On the first floor, there’s a lovely living room with a high-quality fitted kitchen, dining area and TV lounge. Mezzanine on 1st floor : bedroom with 1 x 160cm bed, shower room/wc and sleeping area with 1 x 120cm bed. For your comfort, everything is included : beds are made up on arrival, towels are provided, cleaning and heating are included. Hiking trails start from the gîte or from the Col de la Croix Morand, a 5-minute drive away : great walks, bike rides or VVTs (bike room available at the gîte). Don’t miss : Lac Chambon, the Guéry and Servière lakes 15 minutes away for fishing, the Chaudefour Valley : a majestic cirque where you can go hiking, Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, a medieval village, Saint-Nectaire and its church, one of the five major Romanesque buildings in Auvergne, Murol castle, La Bourboule 20 minutes away, or in winter : downhill skiing at Mont Dore, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing at Col du Guéry. Shops and services 4km away. Electric vehicles can be recharged from the mains at an additional cost of €5/recharge. The owners offer equipment rental : 2 paddles, snowshoes, walking sticks, tennis rackets and balls, fishing rods, 1 adult mountain bike and 1 child mountain bike… For hire on site and on request.
