Renovated old house overlooking a quiet tree-lined square in a village of 1,000 inhabitants, less than 100 meters from shops (bar tabac restaurant, bakery, grocery store) and 30 meters from the tourist office open in summer. The house is next door to your hosts’.
The village features two remarkable monuments : the 12th-century church, considered one of the finest examples of Auvergne Romanesque art, and the 13th-15th-century royal castle. Access is via pleasant narrow streets that have retained their medieval character.
The gîte is 15 minutes from Lac d’Aydat (swimming and water sports), the Gergovie archaeological site (museum) and the Zénith d’Auvergne, 20 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand, 30 minutes from Puy de Dôme and Vulcania.
