This privileged location in the center of the village of Murol gives you an unobstructed view of the medieval fortress and church steeple on one side, and access to the shops that make the village so lively (cafés, restaurants, butchers, cheesemongers, regional products, mini-markets, etc.) and to the weekly Wednesday morning market in high season on the other.
To top it all off, La Vie de Château boasts an enclosed garden planted with trees on the south side which, in addition to acting as a buffer between the gîte and the village, allows children to play in complete safety and parents to take advantage of the midday sun to enjoy a relaxing break on a stone bench. However, it’s on the terrace at the back of the house that you’ll appreciate the cool shade in summer, or the evening sun for your meals outside, in complete privacy and peace and quiet, with a view of the neighboring orchards. The interior of the gîte is not to be outdone : as soon as you enter, let yourself be immersed in the charm of authentic Auvergne houses, with their tasteful blend of modern-day comforts : exposed beams and stonework, small openings that reveal the thickness of the solid walls, an authentic inglenook fireplace in which you can easily imagine the long evenings that may have taken place there.
While the fully-equipped kitchen has replaced the rack-mounted cooking pot, meals are still served on a fine wooden farm table, and while comfortable leather sofas have taken the place of stuffed chairs, evenings are still spent in front of the inglenook fireplace, even if television and board games have taken the place of old-fashioned fireside tales.
In terms of comfort, La Vie de Château comprises a living room with dining area, and a kitchen where you’ll find all kinds of dishes to try your hand at the challenge of Auvergne recipes on the large gas piano.
Welcome at the agency and accompaniment to the gîte to carry out the arrival inventory.
