The proximity of the A75 freeway makes it easy to get around, and you’ll be just 30 minutes from the center of Clermont-Ferrand or 20 minutes from the Grande Halle d’Auvergne.
After several years in the neuroscience field in Paris, we wanted to return to our roots. Naturally, we turned to my husband’s native Auvergne. After a little research, we fell in love with this winegrower’s house, its village, its people and its surroundings.
Drawing on our previous experience in renovation and project management, we set about renovating this old 1850 building for a full year, often by the sweat of our brow. We thought up every plan, layout and decorative object.
Our aim was to create a unique place, at the crossroads between hotel and B&B, authentic and contemporary, natural and colorful, refined and playful.
Concerned about our ecological impact, our new furniture and bed linen are ecologically responsible (sustainably managed forests, French or, failing that, European furniture to encourage shorter circuits, washed hemp linen, reuse of antique furniture). To support the local economic and social fabric, we have opted for solid soaps and shampoos made in the village.
We also collaborate with masseuses who come to the house by appointment for treatments. The garden of over 2000 m2 is the perfect place to get away from it all, to doze under a tree, take a dip in the pool or try your hand at pétanque. Board games are at your disposal, as well as books on the region and a foosball table for lively games. We’re ideally situated in a small, authentic village, with several hiking trails just outside the house. You’ll also be close to some of Auvergne’s most beautiful natural sites : the listed village of Montpeyroux is 5 minutes away, Lac Pavin, Lac Chambon and the Vallée des Saints are 20 minutes away, Puy de Dôme is 30 minutes and the Super Besse ski resort is 35 minutes away. We’re also 15 minutes from the cheese route, including the village of Saint Nectaire, and surrounded by excellent restaurants, including a Michelin-starred restaurant fifteen minutes from the house. In short, we guarantee you a tailor-made getaway.
