New ! A shelter hut is available on the bivouac area. It can accommodate up to 3 people for a night in the wilderness (no reservations possible). For your comfort, bring your own mattress.

Please respect the cleanliness of the site and everyone’s peace and quiet, so that the bivouac sites in the Sancy can continue to be used in the future.

In order to preserve the flora and natural areas, the commune of Chambon-sur-Lac has issued a municipal by-law (see below) prohibiting wild camping, bivouacs and campfires, except in this equipped bivouac area.
