Contemporary Art Centre C Karoutzos

The contemporary art center was created by Christian Karoutzos. It is a private space, completely autonomous in terms of artistic expertise and choices. After 10 years of existence, we decided to set up an association called “Arts, Lettres et Techniques”, to manage the collections.

The contemporary art center was created by Christian Karoutzos. It is a private space, completely autonomous in terms of artistic expertise and choices. After 10 years of existence, we decided to set up an association called “Arts, Lettres et Techniques”, to manage the collections.

Nearly 300 works by 60 artists are displayed in 4 rooms on 2 floors. All sensibilities are represented here : painting, sculpture, drawing, video and sound installations, photography and poetry. The artists showcased range from the lesser-known (Gallou, Jean Jaffeux, Marguerite Noirel, David Vernède) to the world-renowned (Peter Klasen, Marc Petit, Vladimir Velickovic, Pierre-Yves Trémois, Salvador Dali, Pierre Assemat, Dominique Coffignier, Florent Poujade). The art center also presents exhibition catalogs edited by Christian Karoutzos on the artists it supports, as well as fine art books in limited editions.
