Denone castle
Effiat
A delightful little château on the Limagne plain, with a gentle view of the Dômes mountain range on the horizon.It’s a Renaissance building erected in 1560, between three older towers, one of which dates back to the 12th century.
The château is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a 150-meter-long moat lined with lime and chestnut trees.
The moat’s probable function was to drain runoff water, which is abundant in this low-lying part of the Limagne region.

Opening hours
From 01/07 to 15/08 daily between 2 pm and 8 pm.
Accessible all year round by appointment made at least 3 days in advance.
