Medieval keep of Montpeyroux
Montpeyroux
Located in the heart of Montpeyroux, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, the medieval keep was built following the conquest of Auvergne under Philippe-Auguste. Its geographical position made it possible to protect the small villages around it.
At a height of 33m, the Montpeyroux keep was the focal point of the fortress. Today, access to it offers a 360° panoramic view from the top of the platform.

Caution : access can be tricky, via a crinoline ladder and high steps.

From 25/05 to 31/05/2026 on Monday and weekends between 10.30 am and 1 pm and between 1.30 pm and 6 pm. On Thursday and Friday between 1.30 pm and 6 pm. Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
