Church Saint Jean-Baptiste

Loubeyrat

Nicknamed the Cathedral of the mountains because of its size and the richness of it’s interior decoration. Built from 1869 in a Neo-Gothic style, its bell tower has a large open spire adorned with a rosette.

The richness of the stained-glass windows is striking once inside this church. As in a Gothic cathedral, there are many bays, all decorated with stained glass. In the choir, visitors can notably admire the windows depicting the four evangelists and scenes from the life of Saint John the Baptist.
