Saint-Maurice Church
Murat-le-Quaire
Medieval building of the 13th century, in ruins during the revolution. It underwent several restorations during the 19th century. In 1897 the architect Barthélémy Sauzet proposed a partial reconstruction, which was completed in 1902.
Church dedicated to Saint Maurice, patron saint of the knights, crusaders and other cavalrymen and infantrymen of the Lords of Murat. The church still boasts a beautiful spiral staircase tower.
