A castle once stood here. Its ruins have now disappeared under the vegetation, but the chapel remains, probably the former castle chapel.
It was the parish seat in 1875 and burials took place here until 1925. This 12th-century Romanesque building was fortified in the 14th-15th centuries. The apse and choir were raised to house a defense room. Two sculpted modillions from the former cornice remain at mid-height. A porch and a Gothic chapel complete the edifice. Opposite the main portal is the 1st Romanesque portal, decorated with a poly-lobed arch and animal frieze. You have to step outside to admire it, but beware of the void…
