Through the discovery of the use of plants, the visit of the garden reveals the life of the inhabitants of Besse.
The garden is also a way of raising public awareness of sustainable development, with activities on composting, avoiding the use of pesticides, etc.
The garden is the brainchild of the Besse commune’s heritage and green spaces departments. A team of volunteers is also involved in the design and upkeep of the site. All work in collaboration with the botanical curator of the Chaudefour Valley National Nature Reserve.
The ultimate aim of the project is to plant the town of Besse with local plants.
