Site presentation : there are 7 caves in two groups. These caves were dug by man into the volcanic tuff at an unknown but probably very ancient time. Legend has it that an underground passage links them to the Château de Murol. At the top of the puy, the foundations of an ancient castle are still visible. The view from these caves takes in the whole valley at a glance.

Access to the site : a footpath from St Nectaire le Haut, le chemin des grottes (2h round trip).
