In summer, the renovated bread oven is relit for a festival.

The little paddle mill :
This small mill is a scale model replica of a real paddle mill. The paddle wheel is driven by water from the stream running down from Les Couderts, which in turn drives an axle that turns the grain-grinding wheel. The mill has a thatched roof, with earth clods used to make the roof watertight.
Site access : in the village, take the road to La Banne d’Ordanche. The mill is located at the entrance to the Les Couderts campsite, on the right as you go up.

A 30-minute to 1-hour discovery trail lets you stroll through the village and discover its rich rural heritage. Numerous numbered, explanatory markers (Château farmhouse, fountains, barns, church, ramparts and promontory, bread oven and washhouse, small mill… ) take you on a tour of the village’s built heritage and history, with beautiful views over the countryside.
