Le pont suspendu sur l’Allier reliait Issoire rive gauche et Parentignat rive droite

The suspended bridge was, in 1831, the first to allow cross the Allier River, replacing the boats of Parentignat, Orbeil and Les Pradeaux. It was then composed of a suspended span in wrought iron and of two arches. It presented then a length of 10m and a width of 6m. Since 1976, it is closed down and is replaced by a bridge more modern.
