In the heart of the Parc Régional des Volcans d’Auvergne, the natural site of Pailhats de Courgoul is perched between Sancy and Cézallier. On these terraces, once farmed by every family in the village, beehives supplied their owners with honey and wax.

To continue this tradition, the Association de Valorisation des Pailhats has set up an apiary and an educational garden.
The apiary, which is open to all, has several objectives :
+ To help preserve bees (particularly the local black bee) and pollinating insects.

From 01/05 to 30/09/2026 on Monday, Wednesday and weekends between 10 am and 6 pm.
Individual tours available at all times, guided tours by appointment.
