The Tour de l’Horloge, home to the head office of the Pays d’Art et d’Histoire de Riom, was awarded Historic Monument status in 1862. Formerly a belfry, it was rebuilt in the Renaissance era on its mediaeval foundations. An octagonal tower with a clock face, ornamental escutcheon, chain of the Order of Saint Michael and salamander of Francis I of France. The dome was fitted in 1785. An exhibition centre showing items pertaining to Riom’s heritage, tactile models and a scale model of the old town centre. Enjoy the amazing view with viewpoint indicator at the top of the tower!

Every day throughout the year Opening hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10 am and 12 pm and between 2 pm and 5 pm. Closed on Monday. Closed exceptionally on 10/12/2024, 11/12/2024, January 1st, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.
