Montaigut-en-Combraille
Situated on the northern edge of the Combrailles, Montaigut is an ancient medieval town that was once very powerful. Stroll through its narrow streets and make your way up to the ruins of the feudal fortress, and enjoy the panoramic view from the town’s belfry.
The 12 km walk, ‘Montaigut médiéval’, will take you through the village’s narrow streets before leading you to the fishing spot at the Étang de la Prade and then on. After all that effort, enjoy a meal at the La Poste restaurant or a picnic by the water’s edge.
