Just 30 minutes north of Clermont-Ferrand and 20 minutes from the Allier département, welcome to La Moutade in the Puy-de-Dôme, at the gateway to the Parc naturel régional des Volcans d’Auvergne.

In the heart of the village of La Moutade, Manue and Tony welcome you to the Caveau du Fort to enjoy traditional homemade seasonal dishes. The couple had been looking for an establishment in the countryside to set down their luggage for years. In 2013, they literally fell under the spell of this lively square, its shops and the distant view of the Chaîne des Puys, and now they’re part of the walls !

In the kitchen, it’s Manue who treats you to her lovingly-crafted dishes (which she wouldn’t let anyone else do for anything in the world). Her winning recipe : to make a living from her passion and share the joy of serving her customers, some of whom have become friends over the years.

On the menu : truffade, andouillette with fourme d’Ambert cheese, cod com natas, Auvergne burger, veal liver with parsley and fish colombo. A real treat… In summer, take advantage of the terrace to share a convivial moment over a drink and a hearty aperitif board to share with friends.
