As part of the “Jour de la Nuit”, an evening to raise awareness of light pollution.
Since its recent landscape enhancement, the easily accessible Puy de Combegrasse is an open-air book on volcanology. The original shape of its strombolian cone is now visible. Its former quarry also provides valuable information on its volcanic fallout and that of its neighbors. Last but not least, the strange shapes and tumuli visible at the foot of the puy tell us how the lava flowed.
