Whatever your level, we’ve got you covered!
The canyons around Clermont-Ferrand are just waiting for you: swim, jump and slide in the basins, abseil! And above all, make the most of the magnificent setting!
Bertrand, our guide, will make sure you get a taste for it by taking you to the Cornillou Canyon, suitable for all levels!
What exactly is canyoning?
Canyoning is a natural activity related to caving, hiking, climbing and mountaineering on the one hand, and white-water sports on the other. It involves progressing along the bed of a river in sections where it flows through narrow gorges or ravines. You’ll find waterfalls of varying heights, and a succession of jumps and slides.
When can I start?
You’ll be practicing in rivers, so watch out for the cold! Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with wetsuits. The canyoning season often starts in May, at the end of the ice melt, so that the river can flow normally again.
What equipment do I need?
Bring your swimsuit, spiked shoes and a towel. We’ll provide you with a helmet, wetsuit and harness.
Is it accessible to beginners?
Yes, of course! The Cornillou canyon is accessible to beginners from the age of 10.
